Emergency care, when seconds count

If you are experiencing a major emergency, go to the ER as soon as possible or dial 9-1-1 now. Signs or symptoms of an acute emergency may include shortness of breath, chest pain, open fracture, fainting, severe bleeding, head injury or other major trauma, one-sided weakness or numbness, loss of consciousness or fainting, severe abdominal pain, or bites or stings from humans and animals.

If you are experiencing a non-life-threatening illness or injury and need care, you can walk in or schedule your appointment at any of our ERs. Then you can wait at home until it is time to come in.

For orthopedic injuries, try one of our orthopedic walk in clinics. See an orthopedic specialist immediately with no referrals or appointments. Whether it’s a strain, a sprain or a break, we have everything onsite to get you back to your job, your life or your game — all for the cost of an office visit. We have everything you need to be evaluated and treated in the same visit. In the event your injury is more substantial, we can transfer you to the right place immediately.

Online care, anytime, anywhere.

Your health shouldn't wait, even now. Ascension doctors are now providing virtual (telehealth) visits so that you can stay at home and get the care you need. Call your Ascension doctor first to discuss whether a virtual visit is an option for your care.

While certain things have been postponed, it’s important for you to talk with your doctor if you have been delaying care. Because delaying care may impact your health. Ascension doctors and care teams can help you plan when and how to get the care you need.

We start by listening to better understand you and deliver the care that's right for you. By knowing you well, your primary care doctor can deliver personalized care to help you live a healthier life and reach your goals. Your doctor is your partner in health, from helping you recover from minor illness to managing chronic disease. And, your doctor can help you stay well by finding health problems early when they are most treatable.

FIND EMERGENCY CARE

Getting the ER care you need is still important

Even at this time, broken bones, signs or symptoms of a heart attack or stroke, severe mental health concerns or other life-threatening symptoms from a chronic condition should not be ignored. Don't delay necessary emergency care, because putting off care could make your condition worse.

You can rest assured that our hospitals and emergency rooms have safeguards to minimize the exposure risks related to coronavirus (COVID-19) for our patients and our care teams.

  • 24/7 emergency care
  • Coronavirus (COVID-19) precautions for safety
  • Compassionate doctors who listen to understand
  • Lab and imaging services on site
  • Access to the Ascension network for follow-up care

Our facilities are currently taking precautions to help keep patients and visitors safe, which may include conducting screenings, restricting visitors and practicing distancing for compassionate, safe care. We continuously monitor COVID-19 guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and adjust our safety practices and safeguards accordingly.

Get ahead of the new year by getting the care you've been putting off. If you've met your deductible or have unused FSA dollars, schedule end of year care.

Is it allergies, a cold, the flu or COVID-19?

Knowing the difference between seasonal allergies, a cold and something more serious can help you know when and where to seek care. Use this chart to help you compare symptoms.

At Ascension, we are committed to keeping you and your family safe while you’re receiving care. We are fully prepared for your safety when you're in our care.
